Ginger Roots is Open

We are Open for business! In the week before Christmas 2020 we finally found the ideal space in Stirling City Centre and with help from all of our talented creative friends - some of whom have had their livelihood badly affected in the pandemic - we made our wee shop in Stirling city centre look great and welcomed in the first of what we hope will be many happy customers.

It’s a challenge just now, though we are staying open as an essential shop everyone is quite rightly staying home as much as possible. We have great veg box options for you to order with more on the way. We’re growing our trade one step at a time, by listening to what people want. We are happy to order things in if you don’t see them on the shelves already - just ask. So far we’re doing well with all sorts of lovely produce like kohlrabi, fennel, artichokes and mooli radish flying out the door.

We’ve got plans to expand to have as much local produce as we can, so keen to hear from local producers. The shorter the supply chain the better for everyone - and the planet. We aim to be stocking more culinary greengrocer items too. as well as finding creative ways to avoid waste and packaging - especially plastic.

We’ve had a lovely welcome from all of the other traders on Port Street that has helped us to feel confident about the future - despite all the current upset - we’re looking forward to a healthy future as a new greengrocer for Stirling serving all our communities.
